SKILLED JOURNEYMAN CARPENTER

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general carpentry from, framing to finish carpentry, proven experience in high end residential construction.
  • Read plans and perform layout as needed, ensure daily schedule of tasks is on schedule.
  • Ability to train others and manage sub-contractors.
  • Daily job logs communicated to Project Manager / Client

Qualifications:

  • Must have own truck and tools
  • 7-10 years residential carpentry experience
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation.
  • OSHA 10 Preferred
  • MA CSL License Required or willingness to pursue CSL within 90 days
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism
  • Drug free at all times
  • Clean Driving Record (DMV Record)

Star Construction has a position opening for a Designer with just such a client-focused approach!

Job Functions

This role is structured as a customer service and support-oriented sales position that also incorporates design work. The Kitchen & Bath Designer/Salesperson will consult with clients in their homes and showrooms.

Experience Preferred

The candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of customer service experience in a design and sales role. A degree from an accredited interior design program is preferred but not required. Knowledge of kitchen and bathroom design software is a plus, though we will train the right person.

Skills Required

The Designer/Salesperson will be a friendly and flexible team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine love for people, as well as design.

Additional skills and aptitudes include:

  • A motivated and goal-driven personality with the gift for closing sales while also cultivating strong relationships with homeowners.
  • A consultative approach that helps make our brand a trusted resource in the local home remodeling industry. You must be able to collect all the details needed to build a successful project, beginning with a phone call, in-home visit with the client all the way through installation, punch list, professional photos, and thank you basket!
  • An ability to build an excellent rapport with customers that easily secures repeat business and referrals. This includes being able to ask the right questions to gain insight into a customer’s goals and vision for their project.
  • Up-to-date design knowledge and training, including an understanding of and ability to keep up with current trends.
