Bathroom Remodeling for North Shore Homes

A well-designed bathroom should support everyday routines while making efficient use of the available space. Outdated fixtures, limited storage, poor lighting, worn finishes, and an awkward layout can all affect how comfortable and functional the room feels.
Star Remodeling helps homeowners update existing bathrooms and create new bathroom spaces as part of additions, primary suites, aging-in-place projects, and whole-home renovations. Depending on the project, bathroom remodeling may include layout changes, plumbing and electrical updates, ventilation, cabinetry, tile, flooring, lighting, fixtures, storage, and accessibility improvements.
Building on a remodeling legacy that began in 1958, our team coordinates the planning and construction details required to create bathrooms that are practical, durable, and appropriate for the home.
A Reconfigured Primary Bathroom in Merrimac

This Merrimac primary bathroom had a cramped layout that limited its usable space. To improve the room, we relocated the bathtub and reconfigured the overall floor plan.
The revised layout created space for the fixtures and finishes the homeowners wanted while giving the bathroom a cleaner, more functional arrangement. The completed room featured a cohesive, traditionally styled design that complemented the adjoining primary bedroom.
The homeowners later asked our team to remodel a first-floor bathroom and complete additional detailing and repair work elsewhere in the home.
Bathroom Design and Planning
A bathroom remodel often involves more than replacing visible fixtures and finishes. Plumbing locations, ventilation, electrical requirements, waterproofing, structural conditions, storage, lighting, and accessibility may all affect the final scope.
Star Remodeling coordinates with designers, subcontractors, vendors, and other construction professionals as required by the project. We emphasize thoughtful planning, clear communication, and careful attention to the details that affect the room’s performance and appearance.
Projects requiring detailed design development, material selections, permitting, or substantial scope definition may require a Design & Planning Agreement before reliable fixed pricing can be prepared.

Bob and his crew from Star Construction did a wonderful job with our third floor dormer project providing my wife and me with a private suite, which included a bedroom, ensuite bathroom and office. A few years later they followed up with a kitchen redesign that changed the layout and improved the overall functionality. Bob is very responsive; he answers his phone and keeps his word. Equally as important, both jobs came in on-time and on-budget.

As first-time home owners, our bathroom renovation project was the first we’d ever embarked on. We didn’t know where to begin or how realistic our vision was for our budget, and we were concerned about getting blindsided along the way with unforeseen issues. Bob was the only contractor who walked us through the process, helped us think about options, and gave me the confidence that he would truly oversee the project from start to finish. He responded to all my calls in a timely manner and spent the necessary time answering my questions. His team was clean and conscientious with their work, and we were very pleased with the outcome. All the references I contacted gave top-notch reviews as well!
